Free Videos for Digestive Wellness

Two short and sweet videos with Keri and Liz Finley on healing practices for the digestive system. It's good to reboot your system after the holidays and take time to nourish your body and mind. I find myself gravitating towards a uber-cleansing diet at least once per month after a day or two of a funky diet. Eating a vegetable rich diet, drinking plenty of water and healing movement do wonders! :-)

Restorative Yoga Pose - Mountain Brook

A calming Yoga posture that helps to decompress the muscles of your back and neck to eliminate tension.  Due to the position of the head, this pose is believed to have a regulatory effect of the thyroid gland and may have a balancing effect on the endocrine system.   Incorporating deep breathing into the posture will help to calm the body and mind, heal the digestive system, and rejuvenate a low mood or energy level.  Elevating the feet also encourages the legs and feet to relax.  This video features Registered Yoga Teacher, Keri Rogers, and her homemade Yoga bolsters.

This video features  Keri and her handmade Yoga products (bolsters and eyebags).  Find out more about them via: www.BAYAWellness.com

Restorative Yoga Pose of the Month: Queen Pose

To celebrate the creation of my BAYA Wellness Yoga bolsters, I've decided to start posting a monthly restorative Yoga pose on the blog.  These poses will help you relax and make use of your new bolster.  This month i've posted one of my absolute favorite: Queen Pose AKA Supported Bound Angle Pose.

This pose has many healing benefits, some of my favorites are:  opening up the hips and pelvis,  opening up the chest and digestive system,  relaxing the upper back, and deepening the breath.  May help to relieve constipation, abdominal cramps, and provide relief for expecting moms and woman on their menstrual cycle.
